Become a Key Player as a Machinist Senior

You will operate conventional and numerically controlled machining centers to produce and rework precision parts that meet engineering specifications. You will support production, continuous improvement, and quality initiatives while working onsite on 1st shift (7:00am–3:30pm). Your work impacts the production team, engineering, and quality stakeholders.

Here's How You'll Make an Impact on the Team
  • Set up and run multiple production machines (manual lathes, mills, surface grinders, etc.) and perform machine operations such as cutting, shaping, deburring, drilling, and reaming
  • Align and fasten work using standard fixtures and established methods; install and adjust cutting tools
  • Adjust feeds, speeds, and depth of cut to achieve required part quality and report machine issues for correction
  • Inspect parts using gauges, calipers, micrometers, comparators, and magnification to ensure conformance to specifications
  • Routinely maintain equipment and perform statistical process control (SPC) as required
  • Apply lean concepts and identify opportunities for process improvement
  • Follow blueprints, route sheets, and established manufacturing methods; perform rework as needed
  • Complete required prescreen questions and use computers to access blueprints and process plans
Here's What You'll Need to Be Successful in This Role
  • Minimum three years of related machining experience
  • Ability to make machine setups and work with limited guidance in a team environment
  • Proficiency reading and following blueprints, specifications, and verbal instructions
  • Working knowledge of machine shop mathematics (may include trigonometry)
  • Ability to inspect parts to close tolerances using precision measuring tools
  • Ability to use computers to pull up blueprints and process plans and use job-specific software applications
  • Demonstrated ability to apply lean initiatives and participate in continuous improvement
  • Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
Pay Range

$28.00 - $29.00/hour
