Project Manager / Manufacturing Estimator

Pay: $55k annually plus commission
Schedule: Full-time, Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM (hours may vary slightly)
Location: Springfield, MO
Job Type: Temp-to-hire
Work Setting: On-site, in-person

Penmac Staffing is partnering with a Springfield, MO manufacturer to hire a Project Manager / Manufacturing Estimator. This is a dual-role position combining inside sales and project management responsibilities. The Project Manager plays a key role in driving new business, preparing accurate project estimates, and managing commercial manufacturing projects from initial quote through order completion.

Project Manager / Manufacturing Estimator Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary point of contact for customers and regional sales representatives
• Accurately estimate commercial aluminum window and door projects
• Manage projects from quote stage through order writing and handoff
• Proactively build and maintain strong customer and sales rep relationships
• Collaborate with the sales team to establish and achieve regional sales goals
• Forecast monthly, quarterly, and annual sales results with leadership
• Identify new customer opportunities and support customer retention efforts
• Develop regional sales plans aligned with company objectives
• Monitor expenses to support profitability goals
• Stay current on industry trends, products, and sales techniques
• Participate in sales meetings and assist with trade shows as needed

Requirements for the Project Manager / Manufacturing Estimator

• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Excellent project management and organizational abilities
• High attention to detail and strong analytical skills
• Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Customer-focused mindset with the ability to drive sales results
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
• Bachelor’s degree preferred
• 3–5 years of sales, estimating, or project management experience preferred
