Job description: Deliver high-quality patient care and technical expertise to Cardiac Catheterization and Electrophysiology procedures. Assist with cardiac, vascular, and interventional procedures, competently performing emergency interventions as needed, while adhering to established standards under the guidance of a credentialed invasive cardiologist or electrophysiologist.
Work schedule:
- Monday – Friday, 10-hour shifts (40-hrs per week); On Call 10-14 days per schedule including weekends and holidays
Assignment length:
- 13 weeks
Required Education and Experience:
- Associate of Science degree or completion of a Cardiovascular Tech program
- One year of procedural area experience to include Cath, IR and EP to circulate, scrubbing
- Proficient in Impella
- Structural heart cases: TAVR, Watchman/Amulet, PFO, Mitral Clip,
- Implanted Medical Device: PPM, IABP
- Defibrillators (ICDs)
- Ablation procedures
Licenses, Registration, or Certifications:
- ARRTR licensed
- Certified Medical Radiologic Technologist (CMRT) through the Texas Department of Health
- BLS/ACLS through American Heart Association
Equipment used: EPIQ ultrasound machine.
