The Information Technology (IT) Generalist Administrator 1 role within the Enterprise Technology Services Office, Compute and Cloud Services Division is an opportunity to join a team that drives modern technology across the Commonwealth. DESCRIPTION OF WORK

This position focuses on designing, supporting, and improving Linux and UNIX server environments across the Commonwealth. The role plays a key part in keeping systems secure, reliable, and aligned with changing technology needs. As an Information Technology Generalist Administrator 1, you will perform the following duties:

• System Architecture: Design infrastructure solutions that support enterprise Linux and UNIX environments
• Automation Tools: Develop scripts and frameworks that streamline deployment, patching, and configuration tasks
• Cloud Integration: Support hybrid and cloud Linux environments and assist with workload migrations
• Container Platforms: Administer container systems and support transitions from traditional servers to containerized environments
• Performance Monitoring: Monitor systems to maintain stability, availability, and security across platforms
• Technical Collaboration: Work with cross functional teams to support projects, troubleshooting, and modernization efforts

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

• Full-time employment
• Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with 30-minute lunch.
• Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time, two days per week. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg. The ability to telework is subject to change at any time. Additional details may be provided during the interview.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

• One year as an Information Technology Generalist 2, Applications Developer 2, Database Analyst, Information Security Specialist 1, or Network Specialist 2; or
• Five years of information technology experience that includes two years of technical information technology experience in applications development or applications maintenance, network operation or network maintenance, web site development or web site design, database maintenance or database development, data analysis and data model development, administration of information technology security programs, or other information technology support/administration services; or
• Three years of information technology experience that includes two years of technical information technology experience in applications development or applications maintenance, network operation or network maintenance, web site development or web site design, database maintenance or database development, data analysis and data model development, administration of information technology security programs, or other information technology support/administration services, and an associate's degree in any information technology field; or
• One year of technical information technology experience in applications development or applications maintenance, network operation or network maintenance, web site development or web site design, database maintenance or database development, data analysis and data model development, administration of information technology security programs, or other information technology support/administration services, and a bachelor's degree in any information technology
