Janitor/Driver

C&S has an immediate opening for a part-time Janitor/Driver in Jefferson City.

Salary/hours for Janitor/Driver: $18/hr.; Monday-Friday 8 a.m.-2 p.m. (approximately 25 hours/week)

Responsibilities:

• Perform housekeeping duties including dusting, window washing, cleaning restrooms, emptying trash, vacuuming/shampooing/spot cleaning carpets, sweeping/mopping/buffing/stripping/ waxing floors, etc.
• Maintain grounds including yard work, trash removal, snow/ice removal, lawn mowing, and additional outside upkeep deemed necessary.
• Maintain appropriate inventories of cleaning products, supplies, cleaning equipment, and products throughout the facility.
• Operate company truck in a safe manner and in compliance with organizational policies.
• Assist in loading and unloading truck and/or vehicles.
• When driving, conduct daily pre-trip inspections of the vehicle, maintain the interior and exterior of the truck (cab and box) in a clean and safe condition.
• Monitor truck and schedule routine maintenance to include DOT inspections and alert the supervisor of needed repairs or safety concerns. 

Job Requirements:

• One year of driving experience required; one year of janitorial or custodial experience preferred.
• Must demonstrate knowledge and competency in using industrial and typical janitorial equipment and supplies.
• Ability to comprehend written directions, maps, cleaning instructions, safety rules, policy/procedure manuals, manufacturer’s guidance related to use and maintenance of equipment, and material safety data sheets.
• Maintain a professional attitude and approach to problem solving and crisis situations.
• Ability to work with diverse and challenging personalities.
• Must demonstrate organizational skills, and close attention to detail.
• Ability to lift up to 80 pounds; ability to stand for extended periods of time.
• Able to speak, write and understand English in a manner sufficient for effective communication with clients, employees and others.
• Successfully complete internal training.
• Valid driver’s licenses to operate company vehicle/truck (class F)
• Must pass organizational Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) and background checks.
