Pridestaff is currently seeking a Shipping & Receiving Clerk for a metal manufacturing company located in Ontario, CA. This is a full-time position with potential for hire. Please see job requirements below to be considered.
- Pay Rate: $19 - $20
- Shift: Monday – Friday, 6am to 2:30pm
Roles and responsibilities:
- Works with production control and other departments to coordinate daily shipments.
- Obtains quotes for domestic and international shipments for sales department.
- Sets up shipping coordination and forwarders as needed for customers’ orders.
- Responsible for using and inputting into Shipping Computer System (STARSHIP).
- Uses a forklift and/or other equipment to load and unload trucks in a safe and efficient
manner.
- Responsible for physically preparing shipment orders, re-packaging, labeling, etc.
- Verify inbound shipments to ensure total quality and accuracy.
- Receives and puts away raw material and finished goods into rack locations.
- Responsible for maintaining a clean and orderly warehouse area.
- Responsible for maintaining adequate supply of shipping and receiving supplies.
- Assists in supporting warehouse organization, inventory accuracy, and operational efficiency.
- Supports a culture of safety, urgency, accountability, and teamwork.
Job Requirements:
- High School diploma
- Must have at least 2 years of recent experience in shipping/receiving process
- Knowledge of working with ERP system such as SAGE
- Experience operating a Sit-Down Forklift and have a valid OSHA Forklift certification
- Must work well in team environment
- Must have good communication skills
- Must possess a high level of accuracy
- International Shipping experience preferred
- Hazardous Material handling experience preferred
- Positive attitude and strong work ethic
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
