Job Description
Our client is seeking a detail‑driven and analytical Health Program Specialist I to serve in a project coordination capacity, supporting the evaluation and modernization of a large‑scale health information system. This role offers a unique opportunity to work at the intersection of data quality, system functionality, and strategic planning—helping ensure that critical public health infrastructure operates at the highest level of effectiveness and reliability.
In this position, you will assess system performance, identify opportunities for enhancement, and develop actionable plans to strengthen overall functionality and data integrity. Working closely with internal leadership and technical teams, you will monitor ongoing system improvements and evaluate their impact. Success in this role calls for strong organizational skills, analytical thinking, and the ability to translate complex findings into clear, forward‑moving strategies.
Essential Duties- Lead comprehensive assessments of system functionality and data quality against established standards and best practices.
- Analyze current system capabilities; identify gaps, risks, and opportunities for improvement.
- Develop and deliver structured implementation plans designed to enhance system performance and data integrity.
- Coordinate and support ongoing system enhancement projects, ensuring progress aligns with established timelines and objectives.
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness and impact of implemented system improvements.
- Collect, organize, and interpret data to support decision‑making and strategic planning efforts.
- Prepare clear, professional documentation, reports, and recommendations for leadership and stakeholders.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to ensure alignment, communication, and successful project outcomes.
- Maintain confidentiality and ensure compliance with all applicable policies, standards, and data privacy requirements.
- Contribute to a solution‑focused, collaborative environment and support additional projects as assigned.
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in public health, health science, social or behavioral science, or a closely related field;
- Two (2) years of relevant professional experience in areas such as data analysis, program evaluation, project coordination, or system/process improvement;
- OR an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong project planning and coordination skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Experience analyzing data, identifying trends, and translating findings into actionable recommendations.
- Ability to quickly learn new systems, tools, and technical concepts.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to present complex information clearly.
- Sound judgment, professionalism, and a commitment to confidentiality and data privacy.
- Analytical mindset with strong problem‑solving and critical‑thinking abilities.
- Compensation: $30.85 per hour
- Schedule: Full‑time, Monday–Friday (40 hours per week)
