We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Jira Administrator to support and operate enterprise-scale Atlassian Cloud environments across mission-critical engineering and business teams. This role is heavily focused on operational ownership, production support, incident management, and platform reliability within the Atlassian ecosystem. This is not a purely configuration-focused Jira administration role—this position requires comfort owning operational escalations, incident response, runbook execution, and production platform stability in a fast-paced enterprise environment.
Key Responsibilities- Administer and support Jira Cloud environments including projects, workflows, permission schemes, custom fields, issue types, screens, automation rules, and templates
- Configure and maintain Atlassian ecosystem integrations including Confluence, Jira Service Management, Bitbucket, and Marketplace applications
- Support user onboarding/offboarding, access management, licensing, and governance processes
- Implement configuration changes while minimizing operational disruption
- Serve as a production operational owner for Jira Cloud environments
- Lead or participate in live-site incident triage, troubleshooting, escalation management, and remediation efforts
- Coordinate cross-functional responses during production outages or platform-impacting incidents
- Conduct root cause analysis and support post-mortem activities
- Build, maintain, and improve operational runbooks and support playbooks
- Communicate incident status, impact, and resolution updates to technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Develop and maintain Jira automation rules and operational process improvements
- Identify opportunities to reduce manual operational effort and improve platform reliability
- Support scripting and automation efforts using Jira Automation, REST APIs, or related tooling
- Evaluate and recommend platform improvements, monitoring enhancements, and operational best practices
- Partner with engineering, DevOps, PMO, and business teams to support scalable operational workflows
- Provide advanced support and troubleshooting for Jira and Atlassian platform issues
- Assist teams with workflow optimization, governance alignment, and platform best practices
- Coordinate with vendors and third-party support teams when necessary
- 5+ years of hands-on Jira administration experience in enterprise environments
- Strong Jira Cloud administration experience supporting production environments
- Experience handling production incidents, operational escalations, and live-site troubleshooting
- Experience administering workflows, permission schemes, automations, custom fields, and integrations
- Familiarity with the Atlassian ecosystem including Confluence, Jira Service Management, and Bitbucket
- Experience creating or maintaining operational runbooks and support documentation
- Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and communication skills
- Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Comfortable working onsite in Orlando 4 days/week
- Atlassian certifications (ACP or related)
- Experience with Atlassian Cloud migrations
- Experience with Marketplace applications such as ScriptRunner or Automation for Jira
- Familiarity with SSO, SCIM, or identity provisioning integrations
- Exposure to monitoring and observability tools
- Experience supporting large-scale enterprise Jira environments
- Experience in organizations with strong uptime, SLA, or operational support requirements
- Bachelor's Degree required
If you thrive in high-ownership, production-facing environments and want to lead operational reliability for critical Atlassian Cloud platforms, this role offers hands-on impact and visibility. Apply to help drive stability, incident response excellence, and continuous improvement across the Atlassian ecosystem.
