Warehouseman (Second Shift)

Position Summary 

Responsible for shipping finished goods. 

Essential Position Functions and Duties 

• Pull orders for customers and pull ingredients and packaging for production   
• Load and unload trucks using manual or motorized equipment i.e. forklift.  
• Assembly of pallets (case picking)   
• Haul and store materials based on FIFO. Must have knowledge of FIFO process.   
• Verify accuracy of all documents regarding inbound and outbound freight. Accurately complete documents for submission.   
• Ensure warehouse is kept clean and orderly at all times.   
• Ability to work in varying temperature environments as needed, including outdoor exposure and accessing freezer   
• All other duties as assigned. 

Required Qualifications and Competencies 

1. High school diploma 
2. Minimum 2-3 years of experience in a Distribution/Warehouse Department including operating a forklift and pallet jack  
3. Ability to lift 50 pounds  
4. Knowledge: Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint a plus 
5. English Language (Speaking/Listening/Reading/Writing); Spanish a plus 
6. Must have a valid forklift license 
7. Basic math i.e. add, subtract, multiply, divide 
8. Skills: Reading comprehension, active listening, speaking, basic writing, problem solving, coordination, service orientation, multitasking, negotiating analyzing 

Preferred Qualifications and Competencies

Supervisory Responsibilities 

This position has no supervisory responsibilities. 

Expected Working Hours 

This is a full-time position, and basic hours of work and days are Monday through Friday.

Work Environment 

This job operates in a warehouse environment. This role will operate a forklift. 

Physical Demands 

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk, hear, walk and stand. This is largely a physical role.  This would require the ability to push, pull, grasp, reach, stoop, squat, kneel, climb.  This position requires the ability to occasionally lift up to 50 pounds and carry up to 40 lbs. 

Safety Equipment 

Mandatory safety equipment such as steel/plastic toed, non-slip resistant footwear must be worn.  Safety vest, bump cap, and safety glasses will be provided.
