Job Description

About the Role:

A Construction General Laborer supports commercial and industrial construction projects by assisting skilled trades, maintaining jobsite organization, and performing physically demanding tasks. This role plays a critical part in keeping projects on schedule by handling materials, preparing work areas, and ensuring safe and clean jobsite conditions. Laborers work in active construction environments and must follow strict safety protocols.

Specific Responsibilities:

Assist skilled trades such as electricians, plumbers, carpenters, and low voltage technicians as directed.
Load, unload, and stage construction materials, tools, and equipment.
Perform site cleanup including debris removal, sweeping, and organizing work areas.
Move and distribute materials throughout the jobsite.
Dig trenches, backfill, and assist with minor demolition when required.
Operate basic hand tools and power tools safely and effectively.
Support installation of materials including conduit, cable tray, framing components, and other construction systems as directed.
Set up and break down temporary barriers, signage, and safety equipment.
Follow all OSHA safety standards and jobsite safety procedures.
Work on ladders, scaffolding, and lifts as required.
Perform physically demanding tasks including lifting 50 to 75 pounds, bending, kneeling, climbing, and standing for extended periods.
Work in various indoor and outdoor conditions depending on project requirements.
Reliable transportation required and ability to report to the jobsite on time daily.

Required Qualifications:

Reliable transportation and ability to report to the jobsite on time daily.
Valid driver’s license if required for the role.
Full PPE including hard hat, safety vest, steel toe boots, gloves, and safety glasses.
Basic hand tools and trade specific tools as required.
Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
Ability to work in a physically demanding environment, including lifting up to 50 pounds and standing, bending, kneeling, and climbing for extended periods.
Ability to follow safety protocols and OSHA guidelines.
Strong work ethic, positive attitude, and willingness to take direction.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Flexibility to work overtime, weekends, or extended shifts as needed.
OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification preferred
Ability to work in secure or badge access environments.
