Description
American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Labor & Delivery position in Oklahoma City, OK, requiring 5 years of L&D experience and active AHA certifications including NRP Advanced Provider or Instructor.

- Hospital-based Labor & Delivery unit
- Night shift, 12-hour shifts, 3 days per week (36 hours/week)
- 13-week contract
Requirements
- Active RN license issued by the Oklahoma State Board of Nursing or a current multistate compact RN license (eNLC)
- Current certifications required (AHA only): BLS, ACLS, Intermediate Fetal Monitoring, and NRP Advanced Provider or NRP Instructor
- Minimum of 5 years of L&D experience in a Level 1 trauma setting
- Minimum of 2 years of travel nursing experience
- Associate's Degree from an accredited school of nursing required; BSN or MSN preferred
- Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible
Additional Information
- Responsible for managing an assigned group of patients, documenting responses to nursing interventions, and administering medications and IV infusions
- Monitors physiological data, assists physicians during examinations and minor diagnostic procedures, and intervenes as clinically appropriate
- Communicates care plans to patients and families, makes appropriate referrals, and delegates tasks to support staff
- Candidates who have previously worked at this facility must have a 6-month separation period before being eligible to apply for another contract (extensions are limited to one time, for a maximum of 26 total weeks)
- Compliance requirements are strictly enforced — candidates should be prepared to complete all onboarding steps promptly upon offer acceptance
