Job Description
We are seeking a full-time Splice Foreman to support the continued expansion of fiber infrastructure throughout Colorado. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced fiber splicing professional ready to step into a leadership role with a growing organization focused on innovation, quality, and operational excellence.
The ideal candidate will bring hands-on fiber splicing expertise along with experience leading field teams and coordinating project execution in fast-paced environments.
Location: Berthoud, Colorado
Employment Type: Direct Hire
Pay Range: $30–$40/hour
Schedule: 4x10s | Start time 6:45 AM | Occasional Fridays and emergency outage response
Travel Area: Cheyenne to Colorado Springs and eastern Colorado

Key Responsibilities
Field Pre-Construction
- Perform field verification and execution planning for assigned projects
- Conduct pre-site surveys to inspect fiber placement, vaults, and handholes
- Ensure safety measures, traffic control, and PPE compliance
- Confirm access to splice points, buildings, and aerial lines
- Communicate job expectations and project scope with splice crews
Operational Execution
- Perform hands-on fiber splicing and field testing
- Lead and support Fiber Technicians in daily operations
- Ensure projects stay on schedule and within budget
- Troubleshoot and resolve splicing inefficiencies
- Improve workflow, resource allocation, and operational performance
- Support smooth project transitions and field coordination
Team Leadership
- Lead a crew of 3 team members, including:
- 1 Lead Technician
- 2 Apprentices
- Create and review performance objectives
- Mentor team members and reinforce company core values
- Promote and maintain a strong safety culture
Documentation & Reporting
- Maintain accurate field documentation and daily reports
- Track productivity, labor hours, and project progress
- Support reporting, invoicing, and operational efficiency
Qualifications
Required
- Fiber optic splicing experience
- Previous leadership or management experience
- Clean driving record
- Ability to work in field environments and travel throughout the service region
Preferred
- OTDR testing experience
- Fusion and ribbon splicing experience
Not Required
- Coax or low-voltage experience
- Excel or Microsoft Office expertise
- Network diagramming experience
