Janitorial - 1st Shift

We are seeking a dependable and hardworking Janitor to help maintain cleanliness, safety, and organization within a large warehouse facility located in Mattoon, IL. This role is essential to supporting daily operations by ensuring warehouse areas, offices, restrooms, breakrooms, and common spaces remain clean and well-maintained. This is a 1st shift position Mon-Fri, 6:30am-3:00pm that pays $17/hr. The ideal candidate is reliable, safety-conscious, and comfortable working in an industrial environment.

Responsibilities

• Clean and maintain production floors, offices, hallways, restrooms, locker rooms, and break areas
• Sweep, mop, vacuum, dust, and sanitize surfaces throughout the facility
• Empty trash and recycling containers and transport waste to designated disposal areas
• Restock restroom and cleaning supplies as needed
• Clean windows, doors, and other high-touch surfaces
• Operate cleaning equipment such as floor scrubbers, buffers, and vacuums
• Follow company safety procedures and OSHA guidelines
• Respond to spills and cleanup needs in a timely manner
• Assist with basic facility upkeep and special cleaning projects
