Accounts Payable Specialist

Accounts Payable Specialist Overland Park, KS | Fully Onsite Full-Time | Contract-to-Hire| up to $28ph. LHH Recruitment Solutions is partnering with a growing organization to identify a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Specialist for a contract-to-hire opportunity. This role will play a key part in supporting the full-cycle accounts payable process while ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and strong vendor relationships. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Process high-volume invoices, including 2-way and 3-way matching to purchase orders
• Review and verify invoices for accuracy, coding, and proper approvals
• Enter invoices into the accounting system and maintain accurate documentation
• Manage weekly check runs, ACH payments, and wire transfers
• Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner
• Respond to vendor inquiries and maintain positive vendor relationships
• Assist with credit card and expense report reconciliation
• Support month-end close processes, including accruals and reconciliation activities
• Ensure compliance with internal controls and company policies

QUALIFICATIONS:

• 2+ years of accounts payable or general accounting experience
• Experience with full-cycle AP processing
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs a plus)
• Experience with ERP/accounting systems (e.g., SAP, Dynamics, NetSuite, etc.) preferred
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

Pay Details: $24.00 to $28.00 per hour
