Practice Setting and Clinical Scope
This locum tenens position involves providing hospital call coverage within a community-based hospital renowned for its commitment to quality patient care. As a general surgeon, you will be instrumental in managing in-hospital consults, emergency department traumas, general surgery calls, and patient transfers. Expect to handle approximately 5-8 consults per 24-hour call, ensuring you remain actively engaged and challenged in your practice.
Schedule and Assignment Details
The role offers an attractive schedule of 24-hour shifts from 7 a.m. to 7 a.m., working 9-11 days per month. This includes weekend coverage, providing a stable yet flexible work-life balance. The assignment begins on June 1, 2026, and offers continuity and stability for the duration needed.
