Job Description:

We are seeking a qualified Orthopaedic Surgeon to provide coverage at Covenant Hobbs Hospital. This locum position involves approximately two weeks of coverage in December, with ongoing needs of about two weeks per month, which may be sporadic. The role requires 24-hour beeper call coverage (not on-site), with shift times from 7 am to 7 am, offering some flexibility. The site experiences a light volume of cases. The provider must be enrolled in the Patient Compensation Fund (PCF) for the state of NM, with the agency managing this coverage.

Requirements:

• Active New Mexico medical license and NM DEA registration
• Must be Board Certified or Board Eligible within 3-5 years of residency
• Must review and adhere to the specific procedures outlined in the attached practice description

Privileging:

The provider will need to complete hospital privileging and payor credentialing processes, which typically take around 90 days. It is essential to have case logs from the past 24 months and submit all required documentation promptly to avoid delays.
