We are seeking a Student Intern to join the Hinson Lab at JAX in Farmington, CT.

Key Responsibilities
Assist the research team with basic lab tasks such as preparing solutions, labeling, and organizing samples.
Observe and learn about cell culture techniques and other laboratory procedures.
Compile and organize research data under guidance.
Attend team meetings to understand the research process and findings.
Assist with literature searches and summaries to support ongoing research.
Learn and strictly adhere to lab safety protocols and guidelines.
Desired Qualifications

Currently enrolled in high school with a strong interest in science, particularly biology or medicine.
Basic understanding of scientific principles, as demonstrated in coursework.
Strong organizational and note-taking skills.
Curiosity and eagerness to learn.
Ability to commit to the duration of the internship.
The hourly pay rate for this position is $17.50
