Job Description
Onsite in Florence, SC
Our client seeks an Electrical-Mechanical Designer to create models and detailed drawings for elevator system hardware using Creo and Pro Cable. The role will support engineers and internal stakeholders through 3D studies, prototyping, and change processes while driving robustness, cost reduction, and issue resolution. The designer will collaborate cross functionally to translate engineering markups into accurate models and documentation. The position requires proficiency with cable routing and wiring diagram tools alongside parametric design practices.
Due to client requirements, applicants must be willing and able to work on a w2 basis. For our w2 consultants, we offer a great benefits package that includes Medical, Dental, and Vision benefits, 401k with company matching, and life insurance.
Rate: $40.00 to $40.00/hr. w2
Responsibilities:
- Provide design support to internal and external customers.
- Modify and develop new component solutions to increase product robustness.
- Support resolution of engineering issues.
- Develop component and system level models and drawings.
- Support cost reduction efforts.
- Support FTB reduction.
- Support engineers with 3D studies and prototyping.
- Support engineering change notice processes.
- Update system level models.
- Collaborate efficiently with engineers and internal customers.
- Interpret engineering markups to convey design intent into 3D models and drawings.
Experience Requirements:
- Experience with Creo 10 or higher.
- Proficiency with Pro Cable.
- Programming experience using Notepad for parametric design and programming.
- Experience with component, assembly, subsystem, and system modeling.
- Ability to use advanced mathematics techniques for part fitment and design feasibility.
- Experience defining welding, GD&T, tolerancing, material specifications, and finishes in drawings and models.
- Experience with E3 Zuken wiring diagrams.
- Ability to work independently with minimal oversight and deliver to target.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills with quick, clear, kind communication.
- Ability to work at pace with multiple deliverables.
- Ability to live our client’s absolutes and foster inclusion and engagement.
Skills, experience, and other compensable factors will be considered when determining pay rate. The pay range provided in this posting reflects a W2 hourly rate; other employment options may be available that may result in pay outside of the provided range.
