ROLE OVERVIEW and PURPOSE:
Neighborhood Healthcare is looking for a Lobby Liaison Volunteer designed to give a valuable hands-on experience in a healthcare setting. As a Lobby Liaison, you will serve as the first point of contact for patients and visitors, helping create a welcoming and supportive environment. Please note, this opportunity is an unpaid volunteer opportunity.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Greeting patients and visitors with professionalism, warmth, and empathy
- Assisting with appointment check-ins and answering general questions
- Helping patients navigate the clinic and providing directions or personal escorts if needed
- Collaborating with staff to manage visitor flow and address immediate concerns
- Maintaining an organized and calm lobby environment in line with health and safety protocols
- Offering reassurance and helping reduce patient anxiety during visits
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bilingual preferred (Arabic, Spanish, Pashto, or Persian)
- Must be at least 18 years or older
