The Energy Center is a highly efficient, low-cost, sustainable source of electricity for Ameren Missouri’s 1.2 million customers. **Our benefits include:** + Medical coverage on date of hire + 100% employer paid cash balance pension plan + 401(k) with company match fully vested on date of hire + Minimum of 15 days paid vacation and 12 paid holidays + Paid parental leave and family caregiver leave Visit our Benefits & Perks (https://www.ameren.com/company/careers/why-ameren/benefits) Page for more information on benefits provided to regular full-time employees. ​ **_About The Position_** _The_ _Nuclear_ _Technical_ _Instructor_ _develops, administers and maintains training programs to support the overall Qualification Programs established at Callaway Energy Center (CEC) and maintains full accreditation for the CEC for their specific discipline, ensuring that the CEC is in full compliance with the requirements for accredit_ _ed programs_ _under the National Academy for Nuclear Training._ _Instructors maximize student learning by providing quality training to maintain and improve worker knowledge and skills and improve plant performance._ **_Key responsibilities include:_** + Administer formal classroom training to include: + Classroom, Laboratory/Simulator instruction + Preparation, administration, and grading of examinations + Evaluation of trainee performance + Scheduling and coordinating training course presentations with appropriate department personnel + Support implementation ofan effective and efficient Systematic Approach to Training (SAT) that meets or exceeds industry standards and is institutionalized into plant procedures and processes. + Supportsubject matter experts and vendors providing on-site and off-site training within the appropriate discipline area. + MonitorCondition Reportsand industry trendsfor potentialareas of weakness for Operating Experience applicabilityinto lesson plans. + Ensure accurate and timely documentation of all training conducted in accordance with applicable procedures and criteria. + Actively participate in training programs to maintain individual qualifications. + Participate in in-plant activitiesand field timeto maintain required licenses, certifications, and technical proficiency. + Providerefueling outage support for preparations, in-processing training, and/or filling assigned outage position. + Assume Emergency Response Organization (ERO) duties in accordance with Callaway Energy Center Radiological Emergency Response Plan (RERP) including responding to assignedERO facilities within the required RERP response time. **_Technical Level_** + **Knowledge** –Under guidance,develops fundamental understanding of the overall training program. Possesses working knowledge ofsubject matter in technical area. Learning training program standards. + **Job Complexity** –Intermediate skill level for administering training with significant technicalarea knowledge. + **Supervision** –Receives general guidance and supervision on work assignments with more detailed instruction on newassignments. + **Leadership** – Provides peer reviews and feedback. **Qualifications** **_Nuclear Technical Instructor_** Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university is required. Two (2) or more years of relevant professional or journey level experience required (relevant experience includes experience in engineering, experience working in the area of instructional focus, e.g. mechanical, electrical or I&C maintenance or rad/chem, OR experience as a technical instructor in the area of technical instruction). In lieu of a Bachelor's degree, a relevant Associate's Degree and 2 additional years (4 total) or a High School Diploma and 4 additional years (6 total) of the aforementioned types of experiences may be considered. Previous training instructor experience in a National Academy for Nuclear Training accredited program preferred. **_Senior Technical Instructor_** Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university is required. Five (5) or more years of relevant professional or journey level experience required (relevant experience includes experience in engineering, experience working in the area of instructional focus, e.g. radiation protection or chemistry or experience as a technical instructor in the relevant area). In lieu of a Bachelor's degree, a relevant Associate's Degree and 2 additional years (7 total) or a High School Diploma and 4 additional years (9 total) of the aforementioned types of experiences may be considered. Previous training instructor experience in a National Academy for Nuclear Training accredited program preferred. **I** **n addition to the above qualifications, the successful candidate will demonstrate:** Excellent verbal and written communications skills, ability to supervise and motivate personnel, dependability and good human relations characteristics required. Proficiency with Microsoft Office software preferred. Basic understanding of Computer Based Training preferred. Basic knowledge of Learning Management Systems preferred. Qualified candidates are required to establish and maintain their permanent residence within sixty highway miles of the Callaway Energy Center. Security screening required for Callaway Energy Center access. **_Working Conditions_** The Nuclear Instructor works a standard day shift in an office/plant environment. Callouts and working rotating or Outage schedules may be required to support plant operations. **_Additional Information_** Ameren’s selection process includes a series of interviews and may include a leadership assessment process. Specific details will be provided to qualified candidates. **Compensation Range:** $84,400.00 - $162,900.00 * This pay range encompasses multiple levels of the role. Career level and compensation depends upon applicant’s credentials. At Ameren, base salary is one component of a competitive compensation package for employees. Our pay ranges are broad to allow for movement within our organization and to accommodate different skill sets and levels of expertise. We take into consideration a variety of factors including, but not limited to, skills, abilities, experience, education, credentials, and internal equity when determining the base salary offered.
