Precision CNC Milling/Turning Technologist — Medical Components

Rancho Cordova, CA | $24.00 – $31.00/hour | Full-Time

Are you the machinist everyone calls when a setup gets tricky?

If Fanuc, Mazak, or Haas controls feel like second nature—and you enjoy refining processes that support critical medical technologies—this role with a well‑established precision manufacturer could be a great fit.

Role snapshot
  • Own daily setups and operations on 2‑ and 3‑axis equipment across vertical, horizontal, and turning centers.
  • Dial in parts by adjusting feeds/speeds and making basic G‑code edits.
  • Diagnose and correct dimensional and surface‑finish issues quickly.
  • Propose process and program optimizations that cut time without sacrificing quality.
  • Create simple workholding (soft jaws, plates) to stabilize parts and repeatability.
  • Track tool wear; recommend better tooling and parameters.
  • Verify parts using precision instruments—calipers, micrometers, height gauges—excluding complex 3D surface inspections.
  • Guide junior machinists on best practices, quality, and safety.
  • Keep job travelers, inspection logs, and production notes current and accurate.
Must‑haves
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 5+ years total machining experience, with at least 4 years on CNC machines.
  • Strong familiarity with Fanuc, Mazak, or Haas controls.
  • Confident setting up, running, and inspecting multi‑axis jobs.
  • Comfort with GD&T and blueprint reading; able to follow technical instructions in English.
  • Fluency with inspection tools: calipers, micrometers, height gauges, etc.
