Shepherd Hospice LLC is seeking a detail-oriented Office Assistant to support day-to-day operations at our onsite location in New Albany, MS.

Position Summary

The Office Assistant provides administrative and clerical support to ensure efficient office operations and a consistently organized, welcoming environment for staff and visitors. This role is essential in maintaining accurate documentation, supporting daily workflows, and responding professionally to routine requests.

The ideal candidate is organized, dependable, and able to balance multiple tasks with discretion and care, especially in a healthcare setting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform general office support, including answering phones, greeting visitors, and directing inquiries to the appropriate staff member.

  • Maintain accurate records and assist with document preparation, filing, and basic administrative processes.

  • Support scheduling and coordination activities by organizing calendars, appointments, and routine office tasks.

  • Assist with preparing and distributing forms, correspondence, and reports as needed.

  • Monitor office supplies and help coordinate replenishment to ensure adequate stock and readiness.

Required Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent, with basic proficiency in general office procedures.

  • Prior experience in an administrative or office support role is preferred, or demonstrated equivalent experience.

  • Strong organization skills with the ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines.

  • Professional communication skills, including the ability to interact respectfully with a range of people.

  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information appropriately.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working in a healthcare, social services, or similar environment.

  • Familiarity with basic scheduling and recordkeeping practices.

  • Demonstrated attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and document handling.

  • Comfort working onsite in a busy office environment and supporting daily operational needs.
