Job Summary:
The position of Speech Language Pathologist (Inpatient) is based in Bishop, California. This role involves mainly outpatient services for pediatric and adult patients, with minimal work on the inpatient/acute care side. The ideal candidate will have experience performing Modified Barium Swallow Studies independently for adults and be bilingual in Spanish. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day.

Job Details:

  • Certifications, Education Requirements, Degree Requirements, Location Requirements, and Years of Experience: Current California Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) license, Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) from ASHA, current CPR/BLS certification, Pediatric and Adult outpatient experience, Able to perform Modified Barium Swallow Studies independently for adults, Willing to review clinicians with pending state license, High school diploma or equivalent; relevant licensure and certifications.
  • Schedule: Shifts from 0800 to 1830, Monday through Friday, with one weekend per month on call from 0700 to 0900, minimum 40 hours per week.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Inpatient/Acute care experience, Bilingual (Spanish).
  • Additional Information: This position is predominantly outpatient (approximately 98%), with around 2% inpatient/acute care. The outpatient caseload includes pediatrics (60-70%) and adults (30-40%), mainly post-stroke or other neuro diagnoses. Work may require floating to acute care units as needed.
  • Float: Float rotation may be required.
  • Must be willing to review clinicians with pending state license.
