Job Description
Local aircraft company in North Tulsa is seeking to hire a 2nd shift Brake Operator.
1st Shift- M-F 6 am – 4pm pm, half day every other Saturday (7am-11am)
The general purpose of the Brake Operator is to produce products using the Brake and Roll.
Identify major work functions and desired outcomes:
*Ability to read and understand blueprints
*Ability to read and us calipers and other precision measuring equipment.
*Ability to setup tooling on a brake
*Understanding of sheet metal bending practices
Essential vs. Non-Essential functions of the position:
A Brake Operator must be able to perform the following essential functions:
Operate each of the brakes
perform tool setups
Read blueprints
Have a basic understanding of sheet metal bending
Have an understanding of brake operation
Have an understanding of roll operations
Must understand how to operate a shear
Required knowledge, skills, abilities and experience:
Experience forming sheet metal parts on brake press
Ability to read aerospace blueprints and specs
Skilled in working with tight tolerances
Physical and environmental requirements
Must be able to lift 50lbs multiple times throughout the day in a manufacturing environment
