We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) Specialist to develop, implement, and maintain workplace safety and environmental programs. The EHS Specialist will help ensure compliance with all applicable environmental, health, and safety regulations while promoting a strong culture of safety throughout the organization.

The ideal candidate will have experience in manufacturing, production, warehouse, or industrial environments and possess strong knowledge of OSHA regulations, risk management, and safety training practices.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and maintain EHS policies, procedures, and programs
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local environmental and safety regulations
  • Conduct workplace inspections, audits, and risk assessments
  • Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses and recommend corrective actions
  • Lead safety training programs and employee safety orientations
  • Monitor and maintain OSHA logs and required documentation
  • Coordinate hazardous waste handling and environmental compliance activities
  • Promote employee awareness and participation in workplace safety initiatives
  • Assist with emergency response planning and safety drills
  • Recommend improvements to reduce workplace hazards and environmental impact
  • Maintain safety equipment and ensure proper PPE usage
  • Work closely with managers and employees to foster a safe work environment
  • Prepare reports, safety metrics, and compliance documentation

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Health & Safety, Occupational Safety, Environmental Science, Industrial Hygiene, or related field preferred
  • 2+ years of EHS experience in manufacturing, production, warehouse, or industrial settings preferred
  • Knowledge of OSHA, EPA, and workplace safety regulations
  • Experience conducting safety audits and incident investigations
  • Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to train and engage employees at all levels
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and safety reporting systems
  • OSHA certifications or EHS-related certifications are a plus
