Slitter Operator

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential job function satisfactorily.

• Load paper roll in the machine by automatic lift. • Operate an overhead crane when needed to lift rolls. • Cut carton cores on core cutter machine. • Lift winding bar and load it with carton cores. • Thread paper through machine. • Start machine and supervise it, regulating pressure and speed. • Responsible for completing production log. • Keep equipment and work station clean. • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications, Education and Experience

• Must be able to read a ruler. • Required to drive a clamp truck. • Must have the ability to work overtime as needed, including Saturdays and holidays. • Ability to stand in one area for periods of up to 60 minutes. • Ability to lift 2-10 lbs continuously and up to 50 lbs occasionally. • Must adhere to company policies, safety rules and regulations, wear PPE

Work Environment

Work primarily in a non-climate controlled indoor environment with minimal safety/health hazard potential. Hearing protection, safety shoes and vision protection required.
