Custodial Services Worker - Harding University Facilities - Now Hiring

Aramark Facilities Management is hiring Custodial Services Workers to support Harding University facilities and help maintain a clean, safe, welcoming campus environment for students, faculty, staff, and visitors.

This role is responsible for the overall cleanliness, appearance, and safety of campus buildings and public spaces. Our custodial team plays a direct role in shaping both the perception and the reality of the campus environment. From classrooms and hallways to common areas and restrooms, this position helps ensure Harding University remains a place people are proud to learn, work, and visit.

This is more than a traditional cleaning position. We are looking for individuals who take pride in their work, notice the small details, move throughout the campus with purpose, and understand the importance of hospitality and service. The ideal candidate creates a positive environment through professionalism, responsiveness, cleanliness, and care for the campus community.

Whether supporting first shift campus activity or evening operations, this role helps create a safe, respectful, and welcoming experience for everyone on campus.

First Shift

Monday through Friday
6:00 AM ? 1:30 PM

Second Shift

Monday through Friday
4:00 PM ? 11:30 PM

• Clean and maintain classrooms, offices, hallways, restrooms, entrances, and common areas
• Maintain the overall appearance and cleanliness of campus facilities
• Support a safe and welcoming campus environment for students, faculty, staff, and guests
• Sweep, mop, vacuum, dust, sanitize, and restock assigned areas
• Remove trash and transport waste to designated disposal areas
• Monitor facilities for cleanliness, safety concerns, and maintenance needs
• Report facility issues or repair concerns through proper channels
• Operate custodial equipment and cleaning tools safely and effectively
• Support campus events and special cleaning projects as needed
• Follow all safety procedures, OSHA guidelines, and Aramark standards
• Maintain professionalism and positive interactions with the campus community

Work Environment

• University campus environment
• Active role involving movement throughout campus buildings
• Indoor work with occasional outdoor responsibilities
• Walking, lifting, bending, pushing, and standing throughout the shift
• Team-oriented facilities operation focused on service and campus appearance

• Previous custodial experience preferred.
• Able to follow basic safety procedures and precautions due to physical risks and exposure to hazardous chemicals
• Maintains friendly, efficient, positive guest service demeanor towards guests, clients and co-workers
• Adaptable to guests? needs

This role may have physical demands including, but not limited to, lifting, bending, pushing, pulling and/or extended walking and standing. This role may also require uniforms and/or usage of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
