Position Overview

Express Employment Professionals is hiring a Production Associate to support daily operations within a fast-paced newspaper and printing production environment. This role involves operating production equipment, maintaining workflow throughout the production process, and assisting with print finishing duties. Ideal candidates are mechanically inclined, dependable, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a team setting.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor production and printing equipment
• Assist with newspaper and insert production processes
• Perform print finishing tasks including:
  • Folding
  • Trimming
  • Stapling
  • Shrink wrapping
  • Inserting
  • Feeding
  • Coating
• Maintain quality standards and production deadlines
• Keep work areas clean and organized
• Follow all workplace safety procedures and company policies
• Assist other departments as needed

Qualifications

• Previous production or manufacturing experience preferred but not required
• Mechanically inclined with the ability to learn equipment operation
• Strong attention to detail and reliability
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift materials as needed
• Team-oriented with good communication skills

Schedule & Pay

• Full-time opportunities available
• Shifts may vary based on production needs
• Starting pay: $18.00 – $20.00 per hour depending on experience and skills
