Onsite Network Engineer

Insight Global is looking for a Network Engineer II to support a healthcare client located in Youngstown, Ohio. This candidate will be responsible for assisting with the campus network design, implementation, and ongoing support of network infrastructure hardware and software components for hospitals and ambulatory medical offices. ** This role will require travel in and around the Youngstown area. Reliable transportation is required. **

Responsibilities include:

• Install, configure, and maintain campus wide wired and wireless network hardware and software
• Assist with the evaluation and recommendation of technical solutions, ranging from local to enterprise wide deployments
• Resolve network performance issues, manage network outages, and provide escalation support for technical teams
• Coordinate with vendors, contractors, and internal IT teams to deliver projects and maintain system uptime

Must-Haves:

• Bachelor's degree in a related field
• 5+ years of experience in Network Engineering
• Hands on experience working within an Cisco Catalyst network environment
• Strong knowledge of routing and switching (LAN/WAN, VLANs), wireless technologies, and network security standards
• Knowledge of TCP/IP, routing protocols (BGP, EIGRP, OSPF), VLANs, and Cisco networking technologies
• Highly self motivated and directed with attention to details
• On call availability as part of a rotation schedule
