Inventory Associate
Role and Responsibilities
Inventory management:
- Regularly checking stock levels.
- Receiving and inspecting deliveries.
- Verifying incoming shipments against purchase orders, checking for damage or discrepancies, and reporting issues.
- Storage and organization:
- Properly storing supplies in designated areas, ensuring proper labeling and rotation of stock.
- Issuing supplies.
- Processing requests from employees, fulfilling orders accurately, and maintaining proper documentation.
- Updating inventory records in a computerized system, tracking stock movements, and generating reports on usage and stock levels.
- Physical inventory counts by conducting periodic checks of stock on hand to ensure accuracy and identify discrepancies.
Skills and Abilities
- Strong organizational and attention to detail
- Proficiency with computer systems and inventory management software
- Basic math skills for calculations related to stock levels and orders
- Excellent communication skills for interacting with colleagues and vendors
- Ability to lift and move supplies as needed
