Job Title: Machine Saw Operator

Pay: Starting at $22+/hour depending on experience

Shift: 6:30am to 2:30pm, Monday through Friday

Job Description

Join a stable and experienced team as a Machine Saw Operator, where you will inspect materials, interpret blueprints, and program saws to cut steel accurately and safely in an industrial shop environment.

Responsibilities

• Inspect materials for defects before cutting to ensure quality and safety standards.
• Read and interpret blueprints, cutting orders, and cutting lists to determine precise measurements and cutting requirements.
• Program the saw machine for each cut, setting up parameters to achieve accurate and repeatable results.
• Operate saws and related machinery to cut steel materials according to specifications.

Essential Skills

• 3–4 years of prior experience as a saw operator working with steel materials.
• Proven ability to read and interpret blueprints, cutting orders, and cutting lists.
• Hands-on experience setting up and operating saws, including programming machines for each cut.
• Strong proficiency in using and accurately reading a tape measure.

Work Environment

This role is based in an industrial facility with a close-knit team that includes approximately four office workers and six shop workers. You will work on-site in a shop setting using saws and related machinery to process steel materials.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $26.00/hr.
