Description

American Traveler is hiring an Ultrasound Technologist specializing in breast sonography, requiring ARDMS RDMS (BR) certification and at least 1 year of breast ultrasound experience.

Details
  • Outpatient Breast Care Center setting within a hospital medical office building
  • Exclusively performs breast ultrasound examinations
  • Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM day shifts
  • 5 days per week, 8 hours per day, 40 hours per week
  • Uses Epic for charting
Requirements
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in breast ultrasound
  • ARDMS RDMS (BR) - Breast Specialty certification required
  • ARDMS registration with successful completion of one additional registry beyond physics (OB, abdominal, neuro, breast, pediatric, or vascular)
  • BLS certification from AHA required and must not expire prior to start date
  • High school diploma or GED required
  • License required if applicable
  • DOB and last 4 digits of SSN required for consideration
  • Ability to lift, bend, carry supplies and equipment, stand for extended periods, push/pull equipment, and assist with patient transport
Additional Information
  • Perform breast ultrasound examinations under physician direction to identify abnormalities for patient diagnosis
  • Responsible for patient identification, order verification, and exam preparation in accordance with department protocols
  • Reviews images for quality, clarity, and accuracy and completes studies within acceptable timeframes
  • Provides patient education, ensures patient comfort, and addresses patient concerns
  • Assists and instructs students and other radiology techs in exam protocols, procedures, and positioning
  • Maintains accurate records of patient information, procedures performed, and any adverse reactions
  • Follows protocols for medical necessity, coding, charging, consents, QC programs, and equipment failure reporting
  • Practices appropriate infection control and sterile techniques
  • Candidates who have been permanent staff at any Intermountain facility must have been separated for at least one year before being eligible for a travel assignment
