\n\nJob Description\nThe Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse will provide comprehensive care within a Family Center LDRP unit specializing in couplet care, newborn assessment services, and antepartum patient services. Responsibilities will include managing labor and delivery services, caring for postpartum, newborn, and antepartum patients, and providing support in the Labor and Delivery department. This role emphasizes direct patient care, family support, and teamwork in a fast-paced environment.
\n\nResponsibilities\n- \n
- Provide care for laboring patients and assist in delivery processes. \n
- Monitor and assess patients during antepartum, labor, delivery, and postpartum periods. \n
- Coordinate care plans with interdisciplinary teams. \n
- Educate patients and families on childbirth, breastfeeding, and newborn care. \n
- Utilize active fetal monitoring and manage any complications that arise. \n
- Perform necessary assessments and interventions to ensure maternal and neonatal health. \n
- \n
- Current RN license in Maryland or compact license. \n
- Minimum of 3 years of strong acute care LDRP experience required. \n
- Active fetal monitoring certification (C-EFM) required at the time of submission. \n
- BLS certification required. \n
- Experience in antepartum care preferred. \n
- Travel experience is required. \n
