American Consultants is seeking a travel nurse RN Labor and Delivery for a travel nursing job in Anchorage, Alaska.

Location: Anchorage, Alaska
Schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, variable (primarily night shift 19:00-07:30, with potential day shift 07:00-19:30). Schedule may alternate every 4 weeks if coverage is needed for both shifts. Every other weekend required. Guaranteed 60 hours per 2-week period.
Highlights:- High-volume, high-risk Labor and Delivery unit averaging 7 deliveries daily, with up to 14 patients including inductions and high-risk antepartum cases
- Modern birthing facility with 10 OB triage rooms, 10 LDR rooms, 3 OR suites, and 4 PACU rooms
- Magnet-designated acute care hospital with Level II trauma designation and recognition as the best hospital in Alaska
- Comprehensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, respiratory services, pharmacy, rapid response teams, and more
- Epic charting system with 36-40 hours of paid orientation
- First-time travelers welcome with 2+ years of Labor and Delivery experience
- Active Alaska RN license or ability to obtain (must complete application within 48 hours of signing; license pending accepted for submission but must be in hand for offer)
- Minimum 2 years of Labor and Delivery nursing experience
- Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NRP, AWHONN Intermediate, and AWHONN Advanced
- Charge experience preferred or willingness to train as charge nurse
- Experience with high-risk deliveries, neonatal resuscitation, cesarean sections, and fetal monitoring
- Epic charting experience preferred
- Candidates must reside at least 50 miles from the facility
- Must provide two professional references covering 1 year within the last 3 years
- Hepatitis B vaccination required (titers or declination not accepted)
- Availability to work 2 out of 3 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year)
