American Consultants is seeking a travel nurse RN Labor and Delivery for a travel nursing job in Anchorage, Alaska.

Location: Anchorage, Alaska
Schedule: Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts (19:00 - 07:30), every other weekend required. Guaranteed 60 hours per two-week period. 13-week assignment with 36-40 hours of orientation.
Highlights:- High-volume, high-acuity Labor and Delivery unit at a Magnet-designated Level II Trauma Center recognized as the best hospital in Alaska
- Comprehensive unit with 10 OB Triage rooms, 10 LDR rooms, 3 OR suites, and 4 PACU rooms averaging 7 deliveries daily with up to 14 patients including inductions and high-risk antepartum cases
- Charge experience preferred or training available for those willing to develop charge nurse skills
- Opportunity to work with advanced maternal-fetal care including high-risk deliveries, multiple gestations, and obstetrical emergencies
- Epic charting system with comprehensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, respiratory services, pharmacy, and rapid response teams
- 407-bed acute care teaching facility offering career development in a supportive team environment
- Active Alaska RN license in hand (pending licenses accepted for submission but must be active prior to start)
- Minimum 1 year of Labor and Delivery nursing experience
- Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, NRP, AWHONN Intermediate, and AWHONN Advanced
- Epic charting experience required
- Must reside at least 50 miles from the facility (no local candidates accepted)
- Hepatitis B vaccine required (titers or declinations not accepted)
- Two professional references covering 1 year within the last 3 years
- Willingness to work 2 out of 3 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year)
- Ability to float to similar units within scope as needed
