Physical Therapy Assistant:

 

Required Skills:

• Associate degree from a CAPTE-accredited PTA program
• Certification from the National Physical Therapy Exam (NPTE) for PTAs
• Solid knowledge of human anatomy and physiology
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Compassion, patience, and empathy when working with residents
• Physical stamina to support movement and exercises

Nice to Have Skills:

• Experience working with elderly populations or in a healthcare setting
• Knowledge of infection control protocols and documentation procedures
• Ability to adapt therapy techniques to meet individual needs

Preferred Education and Experience:

• New grads are welcome! We value enthusiasm and a strong foundation in physical therapy principles
• Prior clinical exposure or internship experience is a plus but not required

Other Requirements:

• Ability to work under supervision from a licensed Physical Therapist
• Commitment to maintaining a respectful, caring environment
• Willingness to meet any additional agency or state-specific requirements
