**Exciting Opportunity for a Cat Scan Technologist!**\n\n**Job Description:**\n\n- Perform complex computer tomography (CT) procedures and produce high-quality sectional and three-dimensional images for interpretation.\n- Use your professional judgment to diligently review and obtain patients' clinical histories, ensuring documentation is scanned into PACS.\n- Prepare, screen, and verify the accuracy of contrast questionnaires with patients and/or family members, scanning them into EPIC.\n- Identify and/or administer prescribed contrast media related to CT exams, ensuring patient safety and comfort.\n- Review patient prescriptions to verify exam appropriateness; communicate with Radiologists and Referring Physicians if corrections are needed.\n- Clarify prescriptions by calling physicians, adhering to appropriate CT protocols.\n- Verify insurance authorization for exam scripts and submit modifications to Finance for re-verification.\n- Obtain outside studies (CD), scheduling them in EPIC to ensure availability for Radiologists.\n- Provide exam copies to patients and their requesting physicians or family members.\n- Evaluate radiographs using the PACS system to ensure diagnostic quality and proper identification.\n- Gather relevant information for scanning protocols while ensuring patient safety and comfort.\n- Prepare patients for scanning, including shielding and using immobilization devices.\n- Determine the appropriate type and dose of contrast to administer to patients.\n- Provide clear explanations and instructions to patients, addressing any questions or concerns.\n- Perform venipuncture, IV patency checks, and maintenance in accordance with established guidelines.\n- Monitor patients' physical condition throughout procedures for any adverse reactions.\n- Adhere to scheduled shifts, including every third weekend, with flexibility as needed.\n- Lift a minimum of 25 lbs., push and pull at least 50 lbs., and stand for a minimum of 6 hours a day.\n- Deliver patient-centered care tailored to the unique needs of each individual, including age, culture, and any disabilities.\n- Communicate effectively with patients and caregivers at their level of understanding.\n\n**Why Catalytic Solutions (CatSol):** \nAt CatSol, we connect dedicated therapists with rewarding assignments across the country.
