This is a 19-week contract position, scheduled until November.

\n\nSchedule\n

Full Time - 3x12s (7:00-7:30 PM) scheduled as needed between Monday and Friday.

\n\nJob Description\n

The MRI Technologist performs technical MRI assignments and exercises complex skill, judgement, and knowledge in Magnetic Resonance Imaging methods. The role includes performing diagnostic MRI studies as needed and adhering to infection control procedures in accordance with universal precautions.

\n\nResponsibilities\n

\n
• Operates MRI equipment, coils, and related devices with accuracy.
\n
• Evaluates image quality and demonstrates proper MRI positioning and coil selection.
\n
• Utilizes RIS for patient demographics and charge entry, demonstrating competency in PACS for image processing and protocol selection.
\n
• Ensures magnet safety procedures are followed for patients and staff.
\n
• Follows prescribed techniques in administering MRI exams and contrast media, recognizing emergency situations and taking appropriate action.
\n

\n\nRequired Experience / Certifications / Licensure\n

\n
• A.A.S. degree in Radiologic Technology from an AMA-approved program.
\n
• NYS License and certification as a radiologic, nuclear medicine, or ultrasound technologist; formal MRI-specific training preferred.
\n
• Previous experience in diagnostic radiology; 1-2 years of MRI experience preferred.
\n
• BLS certification through AHA or RQI required.
\n
• Maintains mandatory continuing education credits in Radiologic Technology (CEC-12 per year).
\n
