About the Role:
The Data Entry Coordinator plays a critical role in ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and timely processing of healthcare data within our organization. This position is responsible for managing large volumes of sensitive information, maintaining detailed records, and supporting various administrative functions that contribute to efficient healthcare delivery. The coordinator will serve as a key liaison between clinical staff and administrative teams, facilitating clear communication and data flow. By adhering to safety rules and confidentiality standards, the role safeguards patient information while supporting compliance with healthcare regulations. Ultimately, the Data Entry Coordinator helps optimize operational workflows through meticulous data management and effective use of technology.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree or higher preferred.
- Proven experience in data entry or administrative roles within the healthcare or social assistance industry.
- Proficiency with database applications and word processing software.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain legibility in documentation.
- Ability to manage heavy data entry workloads while maintaining accuracy and efficiency.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working in a healthcare environment with knowledge of medical terminology and healthcare data standards.
- Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills to support routine report writing and correspondence.
- Demonstrated ability to follow safety and confidentiality protocols in a healthcare setting.
- Capability to handle high-volume phone communications professionally and effectively.
- This is a PRN position.
Responsibilities:
- Enter, update, and verify healthcare data accurately into designated database applications on a daily basis.
- Prepare routine reports and correspondence related to data entry activities and healthcare records.
- Maintain legibility and consistency in all written and electronic documentation to ensure clarity and compliance.
- Adhere strictly to safety rules and confidentiality protocols to protect sensitive patient and organizational information.
- Handle heavy phone usage to communicate with healthcare providers, administrative staff, and other stakeholders for data clarification and coordination.
- Collaborate with team members to identify and resolve data discrepancies or errors promptly.
- Utilize word processing software to draft and format reports, memos, and other documentation as required.
