- Day shift schedule with rotating clinic coverage
- 24 hours per week
"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is is seeking a Medical Assistant II to support vascular surgery and outpatient clinical operations. This role involves both clinical and administrative responsibilities, including patient intake, EMR documentation, wound care assistance, appointment coordination, and direct patient support.
The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, clinical knowledge, EMR proficiency, and the ability to travel between multiple clinic locations while maintaining excellent patient care standards.
Key Responsibilities- Assist physicians with patient examinations and clinical procedures
- Record patient histories, medications, and vital signs accurately in EMR
- Maintain patient flow and support efficient clinic operations
- Prepare treatment and examination rooms for patient visits
- Perform clinical tasks including phlebotomy, EKGs, vaccinations, wound care, cast removal, and splinting as assigned
- Manage medication refills and pre-authorizations with pharmacies and insurance providers
- Coordinate patient scheduling, check-in/check-out, and procedure authorizations
- Maintain patient charts, scan records, and obtain outside medical documentation
- Respond to patient calls, MyChart messages, and EMR work queues
- Maintain inventory and order medical supplies as needed
- Support infection prevention and patient confidentiality standards
- Assist with onboarding and training of new staff members when required
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- Graduate of a Medical Assistant program required
- Current BLS certification required
- Strong computer skills including EMR systems, Outlook, and Excel required
- Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills required
- Ability to travel between clinic locations as needed required
- 2–5 years of Medical Assistant experience preferred
- Experience in vascular surgery, specialty clinics, or primary care preferred
- Experience taking vital signs and assisting with wound care preferred
- Additional clinical skills including phlebotomy, EKGs, splinting, and suture removal preferred
- Certified or Registered Medical Assistant certification preferred
- Associate degree preferred
