Respiratory Therapist (RRT) – Job Description

Location: Great Falls, MT
Department: Cardiopulmonary / Respiratory Therapy
Shift: Variable 12-hour shifts (6:00 – 6:00)
Hours: 36 hrs/week guaranteed
Duration: 13 weeks
Call Requirement: None

Requirements:

• Active MT state Respiratory Therapist license required
• Minimum 2 years of Respiratory Therapy experience required
• Critical care and ventilator management experience required
• RRT certification required
• BLS, ACLS, and PALS required
• Meditech EMR experience preferred

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide respiratory care services for patients with cardiopulmonary disorders
• Perform diagnostic testing, therapeutic treatments, and patient assessments
• Manage ventilators and provide critical care respiratory support
• Monitor patient respiratory status and respond to changes in condition
• Educate patients and families regarding respiratory treatments and care plans
• Maintain knowledge of respiratory therapy equipment, procedures, and safety standards
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams
• Document all respiratory care accurately in the EMR system
