As Early Interventionists, we are focused on helping our clients grow their small minds by strengthening cognition, social, emotional, communication, self-help, gross motor, and fine motor skills. Our goal is to provide individualized and high-quality Family Training and Service Coordination services to each child and family! Early Interventionists must ensure children with disabilities or special needs have equal opportunities to live, learn, work, and play in their communities.

The primary role of the Early Intervention Specialist (EI) is to provide Family Training and Service Coordination services to children and families. The EI conducts intakes with families and professionals and trains parents in their role as partners in education. The EI plans, directs, and manages activities, coordinates efforts to increase parenting education services quality, quantity, and access, and promotes education, training, and involvement in parenting education efforts.

Preferred Qualifications: A bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Child/Human Development; Education: Early Childhood; Special Education, Early Childhood Special Education, or Elementary Education; Family and Consumer Sciences; Psychology; Public Health; Social Work; Sociology. Must have 1 year of early intervention or teaching experience. Willing to travel 75% of the time.

Position Responsibilities

Coordinate and provide family training and service coordination to children and families.

Handle case assignments, draft service plans, review case progress, and determine case closure.

Help clients achieve developmental goals

Facilitate training families as partners in their child’s development and education

Work with providers to ensure children receive the services they need to develop

Develop effective working relations and cooperate with team members

Arrange resources

Take the extra mile and interact with families and providers to keep track of children's progress and to ensure the satisfaction of families

Record case information, accurately complete all necessary forms, and produce statistical reports

Promote quality and cost-effective interventions and outcomes

Assess and address motivational and psychosocial issues

Adhere to professional standards as outlined by protocols, rules, and regulations
