Residential Maintenance Technician

Position Summary

We are seeking a reliable and skilled Property Maintenance Technician to perform routine maintenance, repairs, and inspections on residential and/or commercial properties. The ideal candidate will have experience in general maintenance tasks, strong problem-solving abilities, and a commitment to providing excellent service to tenants and property owners.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance and repairs including plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, and HVAC tasks
• Inspect buildings, equipment, and systems to identify maintenance needs or safety concerns
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergencies
• Repair or replace damaged fixtures, appliances, doors, windows, flooring, and other property components
• Maintain grounds and common areas, including basic landscaping and cleaning duties
• Conduct preventative maintenance on building systems and equipment
• Ensure properties comply with safety regulations and company standards
• Keep accurate records of completed work, supplies, and maintenance schedules
• Coordinate with contractors and vendors when specialized repairs are needed
• Maintain tools, equipment, and inventory of maintenance supplies

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Previous property maintenance or general maintenance experience preferred
• Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, and painting
• Ability to troubleshoot and repair maintenance issues efficiently
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Good communication and customer service skills
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation may be required

Preferred Qualifications

• Maintenance certifications or trade school training
• Experience in apartment, commercial, or facility maintenance
• HVAC, electrical, or plumbing certification a plus

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
• Frequent standing, walking, bending, climbing, and lifting
• Ability to work indoors and outdoors in various weather conditions

Work Environment

Residential apartment communities, commercial buildings, or managed properties
