Driver Helper / Waste & Recycling Helper, Cocoa, Kissimmee, Orlando

We are currently hiring reliable and hardworking Driver Helpers to join a Waste & Recycling team. In this role, you will work alongside a Route Driver assisting with the collection of residential and commercial waste and recyclable materials throughout the route.

Responsibilities

• Assist Route Driver with daily waste and recycling collection routes
• Manually and mechanically load containers into truck hopper
• Help stage, pull out, and return residential or commercial containers as needed
• Assist the driver with safe backing maneuvers throughout the route
• Operate hoisting devices to lift and empty bins or containers
• Follow all company safety procedures, OSHA standards, and local/state regulations
• Report unsafe conditions, accidents, service interruptions, or property damage immediately
• Communicate customer concerns or service requests to management and dispatch
• Attend required safety meetings, trainings, and team briefings
• Work collaboratively with drivers and other team members to complete routes efficiently

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment
• Team-oriented attitude and dependable work ethic
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States

• Previous experience is a plus, but less than 1 year of experience is acceptable
