Location: Humble, TX 77396
Position Type: Full-time
Salary: Up to $90,000 / year (Depending on Experience)
Schedule: 12 hour shift, Monday to Friday
Job Summary
We are seeking a Warehouse Shipping and Receiving Supervisor to lead daily logistics and warehouse operations for an industrial manufacturing facility. You will manage warehouse operations, oversee inbound / outbound domestic and international shipments, ensure inventory accuracy, manage a team of warehouse and forklift personnel and maintain safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Team Leadership: Manage and schedule warehouse / forklift personnel.
- Daily Operations: Oversee all loading, unloading, sorting, and staging activities.
- Inventory Control: Verify documentation, resolve discrepancies, conduct cycle counts, and ensure product security
- Safety & Compliance: Enforce OSHA standards, safety protocols, and equipment maintenance rules.
- Performance Metrics: Track and report on shipping accuracy, turnaround times, and labor costs.
- Carrier / Logistics Management: Coordinate with freight carriers, couriers and brokers to optimize domestic and international receiving and shipment schedules.
- Process Improvement: Identify and implement workflows to reduce waste and boost productivity.
Qualifications
- Experience: 3+ years in manufacturing warehouse operations, with 1+ years in a supervisory role.
- Industry Background: Experience working in metal production or heavy industrial manufacturing environments is preferred.
- Language: Bilingual fluency in Spanish and English is required.
- Education: High School Diploma or GED required; Associate degree preferred.
- Technical Skills: Understanding of MRP/ERP systems, proficiency with Microsoft Excel; SAP experience is preferred.
- Certifications: Forklift operator certification required
- Physical Ability: Capability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
- Core Competencies: Strong communication skills, team leadership skills, problem-solving abilities, ability to work with limited supervision and time management.
Travel: Possession of a valid passport (or ability to obtain one) and ability to travel internationally for 2- week initial training at company’s home facility is preferred
