Maintenance Technician III (Electro-Mechanical)
Location: Walbridge, OH
Pay Rate: $40/hour
Position Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Technician III to support manufacturing operations in Walbridge, OH. This is an advanced electro-mechanical role responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining complex production equipment while ensuring optimal performance and safety.
The ideal candidate will have strong electrical and mechanical expertise, a proactive mindset, and the ability to mentor junior technicians.
Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair complex electro-mechanical issues on manufacturing equipment
- Perform detailed machine setup, including recipe changes and control adjustments
- Maintain mechanical components to ensure peak operating condition
- Troubleshoot and repair electrical systems, including circuits, sensors, photo eyes, and field devices
- Work with advanced systems including PLCs, drives, servos, HMIs, and CNC equipment
- Apply knowledge of electrical principles (voltage, current, resistance) and motor control systems
- Follow and enforce National Electrical Code (NFPA 79) standards
- Install and modify electrical circuits, controls, and equipment
- Maintain and repair pneumatic systems (cylinders, valves, etc.)
- Perform preventative maintenance tasks from basic to complex levels
- Accurately document maintenance activities in a computerized system
- Monitor spare parts usage and complete ordering documentation
- Adjust equipment using Statistical Process Control (SPC) data in collaboration with QA
- Train and support Level I and II technicians
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Associate’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience
- 3–7 years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment
- Strong troubleshooting skills in electrical and mechanical systems
- Knowledge of PLCs, drives, servo systems, and industrial controls
- Experience with Lock-Out/Tag-Out (LOTO) procedures
- Intermediate fabrication skills (welding, basic machining)
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical materials
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- High attention to detail in a fast-paced environment

- Willingness to work off-hours, emergency overtime, and standby assignments
- Ability to travel for training (including out-of-state)

Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 90 lbs (heavier with assistance/equipment)
- Standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and climbing for extended periods
- Use of hand and power tools, forklifts, lifts, and machinery
- Work in varying temperatures and industrial conditions
Work Environment
- Manufacturing facility with moving equipment, forklifts, and machinery
- Exposure to moderate to loud noise, dust, fumes, and chemicals
- Required use of PPE (safety glasses, gloves, steel-toe boots, etc.)
