Job Summary:
We are looking for an experienced and competent shift leader to join our growing team. The individual in this role would be responsible for overseeing our team members on the floor throughout shifts. This individual would be expected to ensure compliance with all safety and employment laws. Candidates should possess excellent communication and management skills.
Activities & Responsibilities:
Provide an exceptional dining experience to every customer, every time
Distribute all necessary tasks and duties during each shift in a fair and effective manner
Assess individual team member abilities and aptitudes, incorporate into shift duties to promote happy employees and effective workflows
Oversee all team members and ensure all duties and tasks are being performed efficiently and effectively during each shift
Manage unexpected no-show situations
Report disciplinary action when necessary (tardiness, etc.) to his/her supervisor
Maintain a work environment that encourages compliance with safety laws and employment guidelines
Participate in all management meetings to discuss goals, progress, and any issues in need of resolution
Open and close registers for staff members, count register drawers, and resolve cash overages and shortages
Ensure the shift is adequately
Resolve customer issues and approve exceptions to policy for coupons, returns, etc.
Train new hires and create development opportunities for experienced staff members
Provide recognition and constructive feedback throughout the shift as appropriate
Cashier
Pleasantly deal with customers to ensure satisfaction
Handle cash/card transaction
Make sales referrals and introduce the new items on the menu
Run foods and drinks to guests’ tables
Take customers’ orders over the telephone
Serve food, beverages, or desserts to customers
Minimum Qualifications:
1-3 years of experience in a retail setting
High school diploma or GED certificate
Demonstrated ability to deliver excellent customer service
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Ability to make decisions quickly and confidently based on company policies and practices
Experience with organizing and assigning shift tasks and holding staff members accountable for completion
