Mechanic First Class

This position is located at our Bayou La Batre, AL facility.

Our mechanics are an integral piece of our work on a daily basis. Some of your daily functions will include:

• Knowledge of 12-volt and 24-volt electrical systems as it pertains to starting circuits.
• Must be able to follow schedules and deadlines.
• Must be able to align diesel engines to shafts proficiently.
• Must be able to install and align P-Struts
• Must be able to read various instruments of measure (micrometer, feeler gauges, levels, tape, torque wrenches, calipers, etc)
• Must possess advanced knowledge of steering, fuel, exhaust, cooling, and other related systems as it pertains to marine engines and generators.
• Must be able to install systems including but not limited to: fire suppression, steering, cooling, fuel, DC systems related to engines, fire pumps, jets, drive shafts and exhaust.
• Install generators.
• Install and plumb AC and generator cooling water pickup systems.
• Run and troubleshoot generator systems.

If you have at least 2 years' experience in Marine Mechanical Installation, possess a High School Diploma or GED and fundamental knowledge in marine electrical systems, we want to talk to you!
