Job Description

Job Description
Process Improvement Specialist (Contract)
Location: Hybrid – Dallas/Fort Worth, TX (onsite working sessions at Fort Worth warehouse)
Duration: 3–4-month contract (ASAP start)
Compensation: $60–$65/hour based upon experience.
This role requires a 10-panel drug screen.

We are urgently seeking a hands-on Process Improvement Specialist to support a high-impact operational transformation initiative. This is an execution-focused role for someone who thrives in fast-moving environments and enjoys getting into the details to document, standardize, and streamline how work actually gets done.
You will partner directly with senior leadership across Operations, Finance, Customer Success, and IT to reduce process variability, eliminate rework, and build scalable, repeatable workflows. Your work will be fundamental in moving the organization from tribal knowledge to disciplined, KPI-driven execution.
This is not a strategy or PMO role, it is ideal for a practitioner who can roll up their sleeves, gather information independently, and deliver clear, usable SOPs and process controls.

Key Responsibilities
  • Document current-state workflows and translate them into standardized, core SOPs
  • Simplify and streamline complex processes to reduce one-offs and manual rework
  • Design and implement controls, exception reporting, and execution discipline
  • Standardize Forecast-to-Cash / Order-to-Cash workflows
    (forecast ? order ? production ? fulfillment ? billing)
  • Define and formalize customer credit and credit memo processes (approvals, documentation, timing)
  • Improve visibility and billing predictability by eliminating open lines
  • Evaluate and optimize workflow tools (e.g., Monday.com or similar platforms)
  • Identify automation opportunities and partner with IT on implementation
  • Ensure systems are in place to track, measure, and report core KPIs
  • Develop SOP training content for rollout to operational teams
  • Lead working sessions with cross-functional stakeholders to gather requirements and drive adoption

What We’re Looking For
  • 8–12+ years progressive experience in operations, order management, supply chain, or managed services
  • 5+ years leading transactional order execution teams
  • Experience scaling offshore/onshore blended teams
  • Experience building SOP frameworks from limited documentation
  • Hands-on, detail-oriented, and highly execution-driven
  • Comfortable working independently and proactively to gather information
  • Experience with workflow or project tools such as Monday.com (or similar) preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
Systems & Tools
  • ERP: NetSuite, MS Dynamics, SAP, DemandBridge or similar
  • CRM: Salesforce, Monday.com, Zoho (workflow alignment)
  • BI/Reporting: DOMO, Power BI, Tableau, or similar
  • Advanced Excel (pivot tables, reporting models)
  • Workflow documentation tools (Lucidchart, Miro, Visio)

Certifications (Nice to Have)
  • Lean Six Sigma (Green or Black Belt)
  • PMP (Project Management Professional)
  • APICS / CPIM (Supply Chain certification)
  • ITIL (if strong system/process orientation)
