Position Overview
A leading academic healthcare organization in Dallas, Texas is seeking a full-time Staff Physician – Internal Medicine to join an innovative Value-Based Care Clinic while serving as core faculty for an Internal Medicine Health Equity Track.
This role combines outpatient Internal Medicine practice, resident education, population health initiatives, and health equity leadership within a collaborative academic environment. The physician will provide evidence-based, patient-centered care while mentoring residents and contributing to quality improvement and community-focused healthcare initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
Clinical Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive outpatient Internal Medicine care for adult patients
- Deliver evidence-based and value-based care focused on improving patient outcomes
- Utilize population health tools, care coordination strategies, and risk stratification methods
- Address social determinants of health and healthcare disparities
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including:
- Care managers
- Pharmacists
- Social workers
- Behavioral health specialists
- Community partners
- Help establish and improve value-based clinical workflows and standards
- Participate in quality improvement and operational initiatives
Teaching & Academic Responsibilities
- Serve as core faculty for the Internal Medicine Health Equity Track
- Supervise and mentor Internal Medicine residents in an outpatient clinical setting
- Provide real-time clinical teaching in:
- Primary care
- Population health
- Health equity
- Value-based care
- Participate in:
- Journal clubs
- Case conferences
- Resident workshops
- Lecture series
- Mentor residents on:
- Quality improvement projects
- Scholarly activities
- Health equity research
- Provide formative and summative evaluations for trainees
- Collaborate with residency leadership on curriculum development aligned with ACGME competencies
Qualifications
Required
- MD or DO degree
- Completion of ACGME or AMA-approved Internal Medicine residency
- Board Eligible or Board Certified in Internal Medicine
- Texas Medical License or willingness to obtain
- Interest in academic medicine and resident education
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary environment
